What are the steps to start using OutThink in just a few hours?

OutThink brings the world’s first cybersecurity human risk management platform (SaaS). This doesn’t mean it is complicated to set it up and start using it only in few hours. In this article we are going to discuss the few steps needed to be sure you are all setup.

  1. Setting up tenancy
Our sales and customer success teams will make sure your tenancy is ready within 48h business hours. Individual tenancy ensures maximum flexibility for your needs: from customizing content to completely new tailored to your business needs training modules and simulations. The only thing you need to provide is an official logo of your company.
    • Default logo size of 450x150px. Bigger sizes are recommended, however they need to be in 3:1 ratio.
    • OPTIONAL: If you are planning to use the “Issue certificate” functionality, make sure you provide logo with size over 900x300px in order to ensure proper PDF rendering. To learn more about “Certificates” please search our knowledge base.
  2. Provisioning employees
Next step would be to decide how you would provision your employees. Our strong advice is to use SCIM based identity provider such as ActiveDirectory or Okta. This would ensure seamless handling of joiners, leavers and movers. You can find the technical guidelines for integrations here.

Of course you can manage your employees manually. In next articles in this section, you will find further materials how to do that.
  3. Providing administrator accounts
Please provide your Customer Success Manager with a list of the administrators that you would like to have access to the platform from the start and they will configure this for you.

OutThink supports by default SSO with Azure Active Directory or directly with username and password. In both cases MFA is available as an extra layer of security. You can find technical information on SSO here.
  4. Performing the necessary whitelisting for training and simulations

Depending on what product you use from OutThink, you would need to make few whitelisting configurations. This would ensure maximum deliverability of content and user experience.
    • For training: You can find the training whitelisting requirements and options here.
    • For simulations & reporting plug-in: You can find the simulations whitelisting requirements here.
  5. Whitelisting test
After the necessary whitelisting configurations are done, you would need to issue small training and/or simulation campaigns for a handful of employees. Our recommended number is between 5-10. This would validate all settings done from your team are in place and working. In case you need assistance or further guidance, do not hesitate to contact your Customer Success Manager.
  6. LMS integrations
OutThink works with all LMS providers that do follow the SCORM 1.2 standard. OutThink generates fully compliant SCORM file for each of your campaigns. You must do a dedicated LMS test with controlled group of 5-10 people after initial setup. For more information how OutThink works with LMS, please search our knowledge base.
