That depends on your organization policies. Some clients have policies in place that require the use of the corporate Learning Management System, whereas others don’t even have such policies in place.
The most optimal solution is to deliver training to users directly via their web browser (“headless”) whenever possible. Here are a few reasons:
- It ensures the most optimal user experience across browsers and devices.
- No login is required, or extra barriers for employees to undertake their training, leading to higher completion rates.
- Tailored reminders and nudges can be delivered by the OutThink system automatically to ensure higher completion rates.
- It allows the system to automatically add employees to training campaigns based on their performance. Where training is delivered via your corporate LMS, OutThink can automatically add users the the campaign, but someone from your team will also need to instruct the LMS.
Is there a data impact when using LMS?
The short answer is “No”. All data that typically is tracked in OutThink as part of the user training performance will be retained.
OutThink will communicate to the LMS only what is possible via the SCORM API:
- completion time
- score
- status (in progress, completed)
Via the LMS clients can track the standard performance data, while in OutThink dashboards a detailed report will be available.
